Maria Eugenia Figueroa de Góngora
Maria (Sheny) was born in Guatamala in 1956. In 1976 she and her fiancé Rafael (who she had met when they were studying accountancy together) were baptised in the fire of the most high whilst on a Life in the Holy Spirit retreat.

From the time of that decisive encounter began the wonderful adventure of walking with Jesus Christ and His Church, in order to serve it. She and Rafael were called to be a part of the Service Team as auxiliaries and later as servants. They undertook various courses of formation and were married in 1980. The charisms that the Lord has granted to them include the gift of prophecy (1983) which led them to start the central American vigils for peace, now the Latin American vigils, which constitute one of the major activities of the year. Later, they were called to advise the Archdiocesan Consul on the pastoral needs of youth. This led Sheny to the decisions that she should work full time for the CCR. She started by coordinating one area of teaching and later, took on the whole Archdiocesan coordination of the CCR, then was asked to take over as servant .

Today she is the National Coordinator of the CCR of Guatamala and vice president of the Latin American Catholic Charismatic Council (CONCLAT). She is a part of the Executive of the National Commission of Missions and of the Department of Lay Movements and New Ecclesial Communities of the Episcopal Conference. The Lord has given her two children Adriana and Rafael junior who also serve the Lord in their prayer group and many events. In love with Jesus Christ and Our Blessed Lady Mary the whole family have decided to follow the Lord asking for the strength of the Holy Spirit to let them persevere to the end.

Oreste Pesare

Oreste Pesare was born in Foggia in 1960. He married Nunzia in 1988 and now they have three children: Giovanni, Serena and Andrea. He met the Charismatic Renewal in 1984 through a strong spiritual experience with God that changed his life completely.

Following the Lord’s guide, and with the support of his Comunità Magnificat – an Italian Covenant Community of which he has been the President for many years – in 1991 he decided to leave his job in order to work full-time for the Lord on a volunteer basis. During three years, while he spent most of his time preaching, Oreste and his family experienced the extraordinary power of Providence as they witnessed countless marvels of all sorts, small miracles as well as big ones.

In 1993, he was called by the Archbishop of Foggia to assist him as his personal secretary for about three years. The experience of serving so closely an Apostle of the Church was really for him a strong enrichment that brought Oreste to a special love for the Church. Actually he is the editor of "Venite e Vedrete" ("Come and See"), an Italian magazine serving Charismatic Covenant Communities.

He has been the director of ICCRS since 1996.
