We thank all the participants who contributed to the holding and success of this training and to all the Organizational Services for their availability and dedication.

"O how wonderful they are, wonderful day, those unforgettable days ..."

The Celebrant began by welcoming everyone, especially the speakers from ICCRS, namely Cyril JOHN, Denise BERGERON and Jean-Christophe SAKITI and Father André BLANCHET as well as the delegations from Gabon, Cameroon, Republic of Congo and the various dioceses of the DRC.

The texts of the liturgy of the word proposed were; 1st reading from the book of Acts 10,25-48 and the Gospel according to Saint John 15, 9-17 with the theme: "It was not you who chose me, I chose you"

In his homily, the Bishop who was celebrating insisted on Love, which is the Testament of Christ. This is what gives us the audacity and the courage to ask God because we know that we have what we ask of the Father by the merits of his son Jesus Christ.

"O how wonderful they are, wonderful day, those unforgettable days ..."

First day: July 1st, 2016

This first day started with the Opening Mass at the Notre Dame Cathedral of Congo celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Jean-Pierre KWAMBAMBA, Auxiliary Bishop of Kinshasa and Representative of His Eminence Cardinal Laurent MONSENGWO PASINYA, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kinshasa in the company of several concelebrant priests in Notre Dame Cathedral of Congo.

The Celebrator began by welcoming everyone, especially the speakers from ICCRS, namely Cyril JOHN, Denise BERGERON and Jean-Christophe SAKITI and Father André BLANCHET, from the Gabon, Cameroon, Republic of Congo and various dioceses of the DRC.

The texts of the liturgy of the word proposed were; 1st reading from the book of Acts 10,25-48 and the Gospel according to Saint John 15, 9-17 with the theme: "It was not you who thing me, I thing you"

In his homily, the celebration Bishop insisted on Love, which is the Testament of Christ. This is what gives us the audacity and the courage to ask God because we know what we ask of the Father by the merits of his Jesus Christ.

His Eminence Laurent Cardinal MONSENGWO PASINYA, in his message addressed to the ITC - DR CONGO emphasizes that the CCR constitutes a real chance in that it has taught us to consider the spiritual and material good of the man, to be "An iron spear of the new evangelization: word of the Holy Father, Pope Francis", this must obviously be lived in the Archdiocese of Kinshasa and in the Universal Church.

Thus, we must submit ourselves to the instructions of the Church in accordance with CANON 34.

Hence, the Renewal must be Marian and the Cardinal invites us to be salt of the earth and light of the world, by spreading the grace of Pentecost (Holy Spirit).

This formation is entrusted to the intercession of the Virgin Mary.

1. INTRODUCTORY TEACHING

After the opening Mass, in her introductory address of the training, while we were still inside the Cathedral, Sister Denise BERGERON tells us that the Charismatic Renewal is not a movement. She defines it as a stream of grace. So, do not walk against the current (Ezekiel 47,3). In us, must spring living water that is the Holy Spirit and its riches will manifest. It is the rain of the graces: it is the opening to the Holy Spirit that is to say, to immerse oneself in this ocean; it is the experience of the love of God.

The second day revolved around: "the repentant intercessor" given by Cyril JOHN and "What is intercession? which was given by Denise BERGERON. At 3 pm there was the celebration of the Mass said by Father André BLANCHET and the day was closed by the Eucharistic adoration

On the third day of the formation, the main subject was: "Let men pray in every place by raising pure hands" (1Tim 2,8).

Two teachings were on the agenda, one of which was "how to intercede effectively" by Cyril JOHN and the other, "charisms: tools for effective intercession" by Denise Bergeron. At the end of the afternoon there was Mass said by Abbot Jean Pierre NZEMBU on the theme: "Jesus, the intercessor" (1Timothy 2.5-6), with as liturgical texts: the 1st reading was taken from the book of Isaiah 66,10-14 and the second reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians 6,14-39, whereas the gospel is that of Luke 10, 17-21. The day ended with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

The fourth day was rich in grace around the following teachings: "Prophetic Intercession" and "Intercession and Suffering" all given by Cyril JOHN.

The prayer was made at crossroads on the basis of the intentions given by God himself as emphasized in the prophetic intercession. Several graces have been recorded, such as healing and inner liberation, words of knowledge and prophetic messages, songs and prayers in tongues. There was the Eucharistic celebration which was presided by Father Aimé MOBWETES of Congo-Brazza / Pointe-Noire on the basis of the following texts: Hosea 2, 18-25 and Matthew 9, 18-26.

Relying on the text of James 2, 16 in his homily, the priest celebrating defines faith as a total trust in God. Intercession was made with the Blessed Sacrament.

The fifth day of the formation was marked by the spiritual struggle in the intercession given by Cyril JOHN and the Eucharistic Celebration presided by Father André BLANCHET on the following texts: Hosea 8, 4-7; 11-13 and Matthew 12, 22-28, invited the participants of the ITC / DRC to have faith, since it allows to pass from this terrestrial world towards the kingdom of heaven. One must believe in one person who saves the world, namely "Jesus."

- Opportunity was given for prayer on the family tree and the experience of prayer in the various strategic sites of the City of Kinshasa and other headquarters of national and international institutions, which was accompanied by several testimonies and messages fulfilling what was announced before the said training and the fasting which was observed.

The sixth day saw only one intervention on "the four wheels of the intercession" given by Denise BERGERON. It's about: prayer; the Word of God; the sacraments and fraternal life.

The day and the ITC Training in Kinshasa concluded with immense joy by the Mass which was said by Father André BLANCHET in the parish of Saint Anne which was full of charismatic people who came to the closing of the formation.

The liturgical texts of the day were Hosea 10: 1-3; 7-8 and 12; Math.10, 2-7

He had proposed to each of us to replace his first name in the place of those of the Apostles.

Also, he stressed that we must have hope that is represented by the green color that he chose to celebrate this Eucharist.

As Apostles of Christ, let us keep hope because it is God Himself who has sent us to the lost sheep from all over the world to make disciples of them and Jesus Christ Himself precedes us.

The overall number of participants, at the training was 526.

ARCHIDIOCESE OF KINSHASA - CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL
INTERNATIONAL TRAINING ON INTERCESSION

Introduction

From July 1st to July 6 th 2016, there will be an International Training Course on Intercession, called: “A call to prophetic Intercession”. This event of the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS) is a gift to the Church on the eve of the Great Jubilee Celebration, and is organized by the Intercession Network of Congo Kinshasa in collaboration with the Diocese and National Renewal of Congo Kinshasa.

Nature

The ICCRS Intercession Training Course, which is a one-week school, is the concrete realization of the desire to form a large family of intercessors worldwide. Intercession, being at the heart of evangelization and mission, is well rooted in the Catholic tradition. It concerns all Christians, not just those who are members of a particular group or movement.

St. Paul, as with the Ephesians Christian community, makes this appeal: “Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication.” (Ep 6:18)

May that request be an invitation for us to turn to the Father, in the Spirit of Jesus.

The course includes Mass, Holy Hour and charismatic praise and worship on a daily basis, as well as silent Eucharistic adoration, intercessory rosary, various talks on intercession, intercession outreach in groups/prophetic intercession in groups, and so on.

Why an ITC?

The first Intercession Training Course (ITC) was organized in Trois Rivières, (Canada) in 2015. 500 people from 31 countries participated.

Sensing the powerful move of the Spirit, and desiring to make the information and experience as available to as many people as possible, ICCRS has decided to offer ITCs in all continents, regions and nations that would like to host the course.

The ICCRS Intercession Training Course is a way for ICCRS to deepen intercession in the Church worldwide. ICCRS is pleased to partner with charismatic realities worldwide in order to provide this programme that will train and equip those who sense a calling for intercession and to promote the ministry of intercession. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal responds to this urgent need by doing all we can to deepen the ministry of intercession!

Mission

The goal of the ITC is to train intercessors and potential intercessors in serving the Church in the ministry of prophetic intercession in the power of the Holy Spirit. We provide this programme locally during 4 full days of training (6 days in total, including the arrival and departure days).

Objectives

  • Growth in holiness,
  • Development of trust in God in all things.
  • Deeper spiritual reflection.
  • Meditation on the life of Jesus, the main intercessor.
  • Full opening to the Holy Spirit, who is dwelling in us, strengthens us and gives us all the tools necessary for intercession.

Vision

At ICCRS we are convinced that intercession is the need of the hour, for the Church and for the world. We need to build up and strengthen the army of intercessors worldwide so that a new Pentecost can renew the face of the earth.
