ICCRS was established by the Vatican in 1993 in serving worldwide Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

ICCRS has sponsored other healing events: e.g. seminar in St. Giovanni Rotondo in 1995, a Colloquium in Rome in collaboration with the Pontifical Council for the Laity 2001.

ICCRS also is publishing a guideline document on prayers of healing.
