Pentecost of the Nations 2008
Special Prayer Intentions
Helpful Resources for Pentecost of the Nations |
Beginings
In 2006, in preparation for the Pentecost meeting with Pope Benedict XVI, ICCRS called forth Operation Upper Room. In the last years, many countries and tens of thousands people on all continents have participated in this world-wide prayer event network. This year ICCRS is launching a two-part project - Pentecost of the Nations 2008 - for a new culture of Pentecost, which integrates Operation Upper Room, May 2-10, now with the Pentecost Say Celebration on May 11.

A two-part invitation
An invitation to return to the "Upper Room of Jerusalem" in one heart
and in constant prayer (Acts 1: 12-14), becoming "burning bushes" in
adoration and intercession
(Leo XIII,
Bl. Elena Guerra 1895-1897).
"Oh. if only...unanimous and fervent prayers could be raised to Heaven in every part of Christendom, as they
were one in the Cenacle (upper room)
of Jerusalem for a rekindling of the
Divine Spirit" (Bl. Elena Guerra).
An invitation to respond to the call for New Evangelisation in the power of the Holy Spirit and with His gifts, thereby spreading of the "culture of pentecost" (Acts 1:8). To proclaim the Good News in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:11).
